If you have ever wondered about your importance to God, John 15:16 gives an account of just how important we are to his purpose. Think about it: we have been chosen, and ordained to bring forth fruit that would remain. Why is it so desirable for us to be obedient? Because when we listen and obey the word of the Lord, we can ask God anything in Jesus name and he will give it to us.

We are in the fight of our spiritual lives and nothing can defeat us because the Lord has never lost a battle. Our tears are stored in heaven, and God already knows our petitions, even before we utter them. Sometimes we don’t know how to pray when we get so overwhelmed. It is during those times that getting alone with the Lord in prayer is vital for us to get the victory.

He makes our paths straight and lights our way:

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day . . . Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:18, 25-27

“Jesus saith unto him, I AM THE WAY, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”John 14:6

I know that we must endure this until the Lord brings us through it. When we get through it, I expect a great revival. In the meantime, let’s keep believing that God will work out all things for our good.
