“About My Father’s Business”

block party 2

One of my favorite Apostolic ministers has to be Reverend Lee Stoneking. In a recent Impact Conference he was explaining what faith is: “Faith is the bird that sings to greet the dawn while it’s still dark.”

The gift of faith is what God does without us.

The miracle is to be in the presence of the Lord and be able to worship.

Let’s not get so caught up in  the bad in our world that we forget our focus which should be on Jesus Christ and to fulfill the call that he has placed on our lives.  If we take our eyes off of Jesus, we could become so discouraged as we see the world and how small we are in it; but if we learn to look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, we can overcome any obstacles and when the storms and distractions do come our way, we can ride the waves in faith, having a peace that passes all understanding.

Fear can be eradicated when we learn to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly. If you want to live a life of victory and peace in the midst of chaos, then, in faith, look to the Lord for he is the giver of strength and peace. Don’t think for a minute that he is worried about the events that are occurring around our world; he has already made provision for us to endure in this end time. It is up to us now to trust him and to lean on him when we are too weak to stand on our own.

About gracemorganwriter

What is a writer? Someone who writes. For me, writing means to observe the world in a fresh way; it gives us encouragement when we are struggling to follow the path, and hope that we can keep pressing towards the mark. Writing gives us grace for the journey, and shines light into the darkened places of our soul.
