It is Essential to Keep Moving Forward

Life isn’t fair. Period. So, now that we have established that, what is our plan of action for living it? This life we have been afforded may not always meet our high expectations, but the alternative to living it is not an option if you want to do the will of God. I’m so weary of people giving up and allowing Satan to have reign in their lives.

Giving up is also not an option, if you desire to fulfill God’s will for your life. Have you ever wondered what your life would look like if you had made different choices in the past? I have, and today, I’m here to proclaim that those choices were already designed by the Lord. Without the lessons learned from making them, we wouldn’t have the powerful testimonies of God’s divine intervention in our lives, to proclaim.

What would have happened if we chose the wide path because it was much greener, and more pleasant than the rocky brier-filled one we ended up taken. It is likely if you have made some of those decisions in your life, and circumstances seemed to get worse instead of better, that you could have had a tinge of regret when you looked back on the path that you took, and compared it to the one that was just within your sight but so very distant from you now.

It is too late to turn back, and what would it accomplish if you did? Think about it, going back to relive life would make you need to experience both the heartaches and pain of a different set of decisions you would need to make in your new journey. What would looking back to the path you had rejected earlier, accomplish for you now?

I know that looking back would have changed who I am, today. Without the circumstances in my life, I would be a completely different person. I am thankful that the Lord intervened in my choices, and in spite of some terrible decisions in the past, he worked all things for my good to change my future and draw me closer to him.

22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king” (1 Samuel 15:22-23 (KJV)).

No matter how many times we lose our way, temporarily, I am thankful that there is a God in heaven who loves us and draws us back in to where we need to be, safe under the covering he has made for us. It is comforting to know that nothing can separate us from his love, and that no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper. We must be diligent to stay under his shadow.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)).

In this week’s Lattereign we find out how important it is to be Living Under the Shadow.

About gracemorganwriter

What is a writer? Someone who writes. For me, writing means to observe the world in a fresh way; it gives us encouragement when we are struggling to follow the path, and hope that we can keep pressing towards the mark. Writing gives us grace for the journey, and shines light into the darkened places of our soul.
